Terms & conditions
These terms govern your use of ShowBuzzer (the “Service”), including the marketing site at ShowBuzzer.com, customer dashboards, Host and Admin screens, and live player rooms. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
ShowBuzzer is operated by the ShowBuzzer team (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: support.
2. The Service
ShowBuzzer provides live gameshow software for venues, festivals, pubs, and private events. Features may include buzzers, quizzes, race nights, and other games delivered to guest phones and a Host display. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account and billing details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and activity under your account.
- One subscription is for your organisation’s ShowBuzzer room(s) as described at signup.
- You must be at least 18 and authorised to bind the venue or organisation you represent.
4. Free trial
New accounts may receive a free trial: up to 20 minutes of live play, starting when Host is first opened, and available for 7 days from signup. When the trial ends, the room may reset and live play may lock until you upgrade. Trials are limited (including player connection caps) and may be changed or withdrawn.
5. Subscriptions & fees
- Paid plans are priced by simultaneous player connection limit (for example Starter, Venue, Festival). Current prices appear on the pricing page.
- Fees are billed in GBP unless we agree otherwise, usually monthly in advance.
- You can change or cancel from your dashboard where available, or via support.
- Canceling stops future billing; access may end when the current period finishes or immediately if stated in the product at cancel time.
- Taxes may apply. Invoices and receipts are provided for paid charges where available.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt other customers’ rooms
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive content or events
- Resell or white-label the Service without our written permission
- Reverse engineer or scrape the Service beyond normal use
- Exceed fair use of connection limits or attempt to bypass plan caps
You are responsible for how you run shows at your venue, including guest behaviour, licensing of any music or media you upload, and compliance with local law.
7. Guest players
Guests join with a room code or link. You must tell guests that their device is connecting to your show and only collect what the games require. Do not use guest data for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis and clear notice.
8. Content & media
If you upload logos, audio, images, or other materials, you confirm you have the rights to use them. You grant us a limited licence to host and display that content solely to operate your show. We may remove content that appears unlawful or harmful.
9. Availability
We aim for reliable live performance but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Internet quality at your venue, device limits, and third-party networks affect the experience. Scheduled maintenance or emergency downtime may occur.
10. Liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, reputational harm, or indirect losses arising from use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the claim.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for non-payment, breach of these terms, abuse, or legal risk. You may stop using the Service and cancel as described above. After termination, we may delete or anonymise account data in line with our privacy policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers who qualify may have mandatory local rights.
